Getting started
ClockZen is a focus and time-tracking app for people who want to reclaim their attention. It combines a Pomodoro timer, automatic activity tracking, and optional team accountability — all in one quiet, zen-inspired app that lives on your desktop, browser, and phone.
Download ClockZen for macOS from the downloads page, sign in or create a free account, and start your first focus session. Most people are tracking time within two minutes. Windows and Linux builds are on the way.
Yes. The free plan includes the Pomodoro timer, basic activity tracking, and seven days of history — enough to build a real habit. Paid plans unlock unlimited history, advanced insights, and team features. See pricing.
Native desktop apps for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), a Chrome extension for browser activity, Android and iOS mobile apps, and a web dashboard accessible from any browser. Windows and Linux desktop builds ship in 2026.
Privacy & data
Yes. Activity data is stored locally on your device by default. Anything that syncs to the cloud is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your data, and we never use your timelines to train models or serve ads.
Team admins see aggregated metrics (focus hours, session counts, streak data). Individual app and website timelines are never shared unless you explicitly opt in. Privacy is a per-person setting, not a team-wide toggle.
Always. Export a full JSON or CSV archive from Settings → Data at any time. Account deletion is one click and removes all associated data within 30 days.
Focus & Pomodoro
Yes. The default is 25 minutes of focus and 5 minutes of break, but every duration is configurable. You can also set how many sessions trigger a longer rest, and whether breaks auto-start.
You can block specific apps and websites during focus sessions. We default to a gentle nudge rather than a hard block — the goal is mindfulness, not friction — but strict mode is one setting away.
Curated soundscapes (rain, forest, café, brown noise, lo-fi) that play while you focus. Bring your own tracks from a local folder if you prefer.
Tracking & insights
The desktop app observes the active window title and the browser extension observes the current tab. ClockZen categorizes each activity as focused, neutral, or distracted based on rules you control. Nothing is uploaded without your permission.
Yes. Click any block on your timeline to reassign its category, or create a rule that updates every past and future matching activity.
Daily, weekly, and monthly views of focus time, top apps, category breakdowns, streak history, and goal progress. Pro plans add trend comparisons and calendar-integrated insights.
